Aleksandar Sascha Bajin is one of the most prominent tennis coaches working today, especially on the WTA circuit. Although Bajin didn’t achieve much success as a player, he certainly carved out a place for himself as a successful coach and has been associated with many top stars of women’s tennis over the years, including heavyweight names like Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka.
Currently, he is working as the coach of Karolina Pliskova, with whom he has had a pretty decent run. Pliskova and Bajin share quite a friendly relationship even outside the realms of the tennis court, which is evident from their social media activities. The duo showed their goofy side in a recent Instagram story shared by Pliskova.

The 31-year-old Czech’s association with Sascha Bajin goes back a long way. In all this time, the pair have developed a strong bond with each other. Their camaraderie was on display in a recent Instagram story shared by Pliskova, where the 2021 Wimbledon finalist was seen pulling a prank on her coach.
She affixed airport tags on the pants of Bajin without his knowledge, as he walked on, unaware of Pliskova’s shenanigans. Once he realized how he was being pranked on, he reposted Pliskova’s Instagram story on his account with a jesting comment on his mischievous ‘boss’, “If you have a boss like @karolinapliskova you don’t need enemies ??????”.
Karolina Pliskova and Sascha Bajin started working together at the start of the 2021 season and achieved much success. Pliskova reached the Wimbledon finals in 2021 and had a decent run on the tour that season. However, they split up in the middle of 2022, only to reunite at the start of the 2023 season yet again.?

Sascha Bajin found his footing as a coach right from the get-go
The German rose to prominence with his stint as a hitting partner for the 23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams. He also worked as a hitting partner for Victoria Azarenka, Caroline Wozniacki, and Sloane Stephens. Gradually, he transitioned into a full-time coach and found immediate success working with 4-time major winner Naomi Osaka. The Japanese won 2 back-to-back grand slams – the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open during her time with Bajin. He was also declared the WTA Coach of the Year in 2018 for his overwhelming success with Naomi Osaka.
Unfortunately, they decided to part ways in 2019. But Bajin’s work as a coach got recognition across the WTA circuit and this opened doors for further opportunities.
