Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina are one of those couples who are in the same profession. Although being in the same sport does have some perks, it also comes with a lot of challenges. One of the biggest challenges the two of them endure is making time for their family and balancing the sport on the side.
Time management is difficult for them as they both have hectic schedules and more often than not, the tournaments fall at the same time for the WTA and ATP players. Consequently, they have difficult choices to make. Speaking more on this, Gael Monfils recently shared how they are trying to balance it all.

In a recent interview, Monfils was asked how he and his wife are going to manage the same situation the next year. To which he said, “I don’t have the answer yet. I don’t know how things will turn out, or what arrangements we will make. We don’t want to be selfish. The two of us are selfish, and that’s rule No. 1 when you are parents. So, there are a lot of questions to answer. How can we, the three of us, find a way and find the right momentum without leaving Skai on the line.”
It is mind-boggling for parents like them to be able to fix a schedule or have an arrangement that allows their toddler daughter to travel with them. But of course, it cannot be done perfectly all the time. We are not sure if both of them will be able to strike a chord of balance the next year or not. But surely with Paris Masters right around the corner, it seems tricky.
