Coco Gauff has finally raised her first Grand Slam title up in the sky. She recently won the 2023 US Open Championship by defeating world number one Aryna Sabalenka. Since then, she has received a lot of love from her fans and other tennis stars. Recently, even John McEnroe raised a toast to the 19-year-old tennis player’s amazing victory at the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, leaving his own health concerns behind the American teenager’s happiness.

The 64-year-old tennis legend’s brother, who is also a part of the US Open commentators group, was recently out of the tournament due to COVID. But even after not being a part of the tournament, he took some time out to acknowledge the 6th-ranked tennis player’s performance and her coach Brad Gilbert’s amazing efforts.

Just a few days ago, the 57-year-old former tennis player got off ESPN’s remaining US Open tennis coverage due to COVID-19. But even after suffering from a health problem, the seven-time Grand Slam champion’s brother took to his Twitter account to pay homage to Gauff and her coaching team.

He shared a video of himself in which he was seen raising a toast to Andre Agassi’s former coach and the 19-year-old tennis player for their amazing effort that got them the US Open title. Along with that, he wrote, “Congrats to @CocoGauff….true champion in every way….super pumped for her and her team and @bgtennisnation..”

Subsequently, in the video, he paid homemade to the sixth-ranked tennis player and her coach, Gilbert, who has previously coached Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick. He said, “Just a small glass of wine to celebrate Coco Gauff’s win, amazing player, person off the court, great family. Super proud of my guy BG, I know him the best. And I know you want to get into coaching into show what he’s got, so congrats to him, Coco, and her family.”

Further, he also talked about how somewhere before the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, he predicted that the 19-year-old would make this tournament special, and she did just like his prediction. Nevertheless, not only the seven-time Grand Slam champion’s brother but the new US Open champion also received a pat on the back from the renowned tennis legend, Serena Williams.

After the 41-year-old American tennis legend, the sixth-ranked tennis player became the first American star to overcome the 24-year-long American drought. The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to her Instagram account to share a post in which Gauff was seen holding the US Open title in front of a huge crowd.

She highlighted the Moment by calling it amazing, as Williams was the last American to win a single title and the US Open back in 1999. And now that the teenage tennis sensation has done it, she has received the Queen of Court’s approval to follow in her footsteps.
