The buzz surrounding the Barbie movie is undeniably well-deserved. With a stellar cast, an exceptional marketing team, and the opportunity to explore and expand upon an iconic character’s story, the film has the potential to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impact on the cultural landscape.

It is because of this buzz that even tennis players found themselves part of the internet-wide conversation. In this specific instance, they named fellow players as the perfect replacement for the two movie stars. When Coco Gauff was asked who would make the perfect Barbie, she said, “For the movie, they said Margot Robbie is the stereotypical Barbie, and so I would say Paula Badosa is the stereotypical Barbie. She has the Barbie look.”

Further, Elina Svitolina also shared who would make a wonderful Barbie according to her. She said it could be Sloane Stephens. On the other hand, Jessica Pegula had a different take on who would make a ‘cool Barbie’. She suggested Maria Sakkari’s name and also added, “She is strong, she is athletic, she will be a cool Barbie”.

Others also joined in as they continued to make suggestions. Daria Kasatkina suggested that Elena Rybakina could be a great Barbie as well. And Sloane Stephens, on the other hand, mentioned that Coco Gauff could be a fine Barbie as well. However, after the Barbie discussion was over, the discussion shifted to the other end. Male tennis players made suggestions on what would make a perfect Ryan Gosling replacement.

The other side of the discussion started with Andy Murray. He suggested that Matteo Berrettini would make a solid Ken. The suggestions began snowballing when Christopher Eubanks’ turn came up. He cheekily said, “Casper Ruud. He already looks like Ryan Gosling.” Not just Eubanks, even Taylor Fritz agreed, thinking that Casper would make a great cast member for Ken.
