The world of tennis has seen numerous rivalries and alliances throughout its storied history. For many years, the ATP Tour has been dominated by the “Big Three” – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Now, it looks like it’s the turn of the women’s circuit to witness such a rivalry. In the ever-evolving landscape of the WTA Tour, a new group of talented players is making waves, and some are even drawing comparisons to the iconic Big Three. However, the defending Wimbledon champion doesn’t want to entertain such debates.

Among these rising stars are Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, and Iga Swiatek, who have been making headlines with their impressive performances on the WTA Tour, especially in the past two years.

The trio’s consistent results and undeniable talent have led some to dub them the “Big Three” of women’s tennis. However, Rybakina has recently quashed these rumors, asserting that it’s not fair to compare their fledgling careers to the legendary status of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.

Recently in an interview with Tennis Majors, Rybakina said, “I think just from the past results people are saying that. There are still a lot of good players. I think it’s too early to say anything about just three players because it’s not like it was Roger (Federer) or (Novak) Djokovic. It’s still too far. That’s why I don’t really focus on that. Anyone still can beat anyone.”

The Big Three of men’s tennis have not only dominated the sport for more than a decade, but they have also displayed an incredible level of consistency and longevity that is unmatched in the history of the game. To compare the emerging talents of Sabalenka, Rybakina, and Swiatek to these legends is to overlook the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that have gone into building their illustrious careers.
