Without Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova‘s stories are incomplete – both in her career as a tennis player and in the rest of her memoirs. She has spent the bulk of her career standing on the opposite end of Williams, trying to hine brighter. However, their rivalry was more than just competing to win on the tennis court, in such a way that they also never missed a chance to laugh at each other or mock their choices.
In fact, the Russian tennis player described a similar scenario in her autobiography, in which a boisterous Williams approached her and made fun of her engagement to the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers star Sasha Vujacic.
