The American tennis players participating both on the ATP and WTA tours have won the title 32 times to date, which is the most by a country in the Open era. That’s not it. Last year, when 23-time Grand Slam champion Williams was closing in on her retirement, she created an amazing record for herself in relation to the tournament.

When Serena Williams created a massive record at the Canadian Open
Last year, when the 41-year-old American tennis legend played her last Canadian Open, the tournament paid an amazing tribute to the Williams sisters. After her first-round victory, Serena created a record for having the most victories in the tournament. She became the first female player with 35 victories at the Canadian Open in the Open era. With this victory, she surpassed Evert’s record of 34 victories in the tournament.
