Paula Badosa is making the most of the off-season, as she is leading an extravagant lifestyle. She has been posting regular updates about her adventures for fans. Days after Serbian Novak Djokovic jetted for the Qatar Grand Prix, Badosa landed in Abu Dhabi to indulge in a similar experience. And, she’s not alone. The Spaniard is joined by the likes of Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka.

Badosa had a modest conclusion to the 2024 season. Not bad for someone who was forced to consider retirement following an extensive injury hiatus that troubled her chances to compete professionally. She aimed to thrash those concerns and evade the shadow of her former self. The Spanish star won the Citi Open – her first tour-level title in nearly two years. Her North American hardcourt swing results were far from underwhelming as she managed to reach the last eight of the US Open. However, what followed wasn’t pretty.

The 26-year-old faced a lot of flak during the Asian swing for posting a photo wherein she was squeezing her eyes with chopsticks. The fans took it as a jibe at the Asian ethnicity and trouble followed. Amid the controversy, Badosa also withdrew from the Wuhan Open. Moreover, the WTA recently gave her a stern warning, addressing how her actions disregarded the tour’s respect towards different countries hosting the tour-level events.

However, Badosa has put the disturbing episode behind her. She is focused on enjoying her offseason and, subsequently, marked her presence at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. She posted multiple stories on her Instagram handle showcasing the lively atmosphere around the arena. This happened moments after Italian Sinner was spotted at the event and fellow player Sabalenka uploaded an adorable dance video with the Apine F1 team.
