Think of the biggest names in Fortnite – Ninja, Bugha, Tfue, Dr Lupo, TimTheTatMan, BenjiFishy. Even the current top pros like Clix, Bizzle, Zayt, Mongraal. Everyone has expressed their problems with the game, especially with cheaters and stream snipers.

Today, we are forced to ask whether Fortnite battle royale is dying or going to shut down. Most of it is an accumulation of all these problems. It doesn’t matter if you are a casual player, or a pro like Clix, or even the world champ Bugha. The game will have moments for you where self-doubt gets intensified. It might not be your fault, but blaming a server or cheaters won’t do much good.

Recently, we saw how Bugha genuinely had a moment of surprise. He was definitely caught off guard with this, but to think, how cheaters are getting in tourneys now. It is like a major story in every FNCS we have seen in Chapter 2.

Bugha gets tired of cheaters in Fortnite tourneys

FNCS Qualifier 3, Bugha, got in with a fight with Kaimana at Coral Castle. What looked fair when both the players were in the water, soon turned into a sad story. As soon as Bugha got on land, shots seemed to hit him through walls. Watching the video, one will notice how Bugha tried to shield himself. Alas, sometimes the game feels so broken.

Bugha started analysing some clips to show who is cheating. One of the most intriguing ones had to do with 4FT 11 Xnb. His strategy was unorthodox, gliding to the water first and using a light blue skin to camouflage. He also stacked up on loot and passively avoided fights.

Epic is known for their anti-cheat system

It is not a great area to be lacking behind, but unlike prevalent games like COD, Epic doesn’t tolerate cheating. They have quite a strict policy of banning players, and a history of banning pros permanently. It shows that they are not afraid to take the big steps when need be.

However, when it comes to tournaments, a lot of investigation needs to take place first. Simply accusing someone of cheating or using soft-aim will not help you qualify. That is one of the lessons Bugha imparted with his comments. He checked all the videos and did not rush to judgement.
