Golf is one of the most popular sports in the world. And like other sports, the disparity in the prize purse between men’s and women’s golf is visible. Men’s golf has much higher prize money, while women’s golf has lesser prize money. Furthermore, even in major championships, the men’s golf prize purse is significantly higher than women’s golf.
However, the USGA, which is one of the governing bodies of golf, has made a massive decision recently.
The USGA also organizes the men’s and women’s U.S. Open every year. Meanwhile, it is one of the most prestigious major events that every golfer wants to win or at least compete in.
