Defending champion of Women’s Cricket Kia Super League, Surrey Stars are all set to begin their campaign against Yorkshire Diamonds on August 6. Women’s Cricket Super League as known as Kia Super League will be played in different venues of England. Although it is operated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), this is going to be the final edition of the tournament. According to the new 100-ball rule of ECB, there will be no Twenty20 format of the game.
The team which has the likes Natalie Sciver, Laura Marsh, Sarah Taylor, Bryony Smith, Mady Villiers, Marizanne Kapp, Lizelee Lee, Dane van Niekerk etc., they are one of the strongest teams in the tournament. They are even able to defend the title in the Kia Super League 2019 season as well.
They had won only two games in the first edition. However, they bounced back in 2017 and maintained their formidable form in 2018 also. They finished at second place in the points table with 18 points in 2017 while they were the third team in the points table who finished with 24 points in 2018. While they lost to Western Storm in 2017, they registered a convincing win by a whopping 66 runs against Loughborough Lightning in 2018.

Their previous record showed their dominance over other teams and they are likely to continue that in this season as well.
