After the completion of the Women’s Ashes, players across the globe are ready to take part in the Women’s Cricket Super League which is also known as Kia Super League. The Women’s Cricket Kia Super League is operated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) where six franchise teams take place.
The Women’s Cricket Kia Super League launched in 2016 where each team played five group stage games in a round-robin format, followed by the final. However, the format got a slight change in 2018 where ten group matches were played.
However, ECB has announced the 100-ball format which will take place in 2020 for both men’s and women’s teams. With this new format, no domestic women’s competition will be played in the Twenty20 format and that is why this is going to be the final edition of the Women’s Cricket Kia Super League.
