Whenever Caitlin Clark celebrates a win, her former Iowa teammates are often the first to show their support. Even when she shared a series of pictures from the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge Pro-Am event, where she played an 18-hole round with two top players, her former teammates were quick to react. However, this time, Clark seemed to be reciprocating as the Iowa stars gathered around another post.
On November 26, Jade Gyamfi posted a story on her official Instagram account, enjoying time with friends at the Heaven Club Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya. Her story featured a beachside vibe and a TikTok video with a humorous voiceover saying, “Oh my God, don’t drink the water! I’m so gonna brush my teeth with tequila. MEXICO!”
When Caitlin Clark, now wearing #22 for the Indiana Fever, came across the post, she didn’t hesitate to jump into the comment section. Her witty remark, “Let’s keep it PG,” caught everyone’s attention. It seems like Clark’s playful warning stemmed from her awareness that younger fans might be watching.

Jade quickly took notice of Clark’s comment and wasted no time responding. However, instead of taking offense, she humorously apologized, writing, “My bad, Captain.”

Gyamfi is currently in Mexico for the Cancun Challenge beginning Thursday. The Hawkeyes will take on Rhode Island, BYU, and Tennessee, before returning to Iowa. Having maintained a 6-0 record so far, with wins of no less than a 13-point margin, and finally making it to the Top 25, Gyamfi & Co. sure deserve a little downtime. And the team is certainly making the most of it, by the pool, soaking in the sun, as Iowa #23 made clear on her Instagram updates.
For a little policing, though, Clark is here — never one to miss out on Iowa updates.
Good or bad, Clark never hesitates to speak up!

Clark is known for more than just pointing out concerns; she also uses social media to tease, make playful requests, and share laughs with her former teammates. A similar incident occurred after the Iowa Hawkeyes’ triumphant victory over Virginia Tech Hokies, where Iowa secured a dominant 71-52 win, marking a perfect 2-0 start to the season.
While the team shone brightly on the court, the sidelines were equally lively, as former teammates Gabbie Marshall and Las Vegas Aces’ Kate Martin reunited to cheer on the team. After the victory, they even shared a snap with forward Jada Gyamfi, captioning it, “#23’s BIGGEST fan! So good seeing my Hawkeye family this weekend.”
As expected, the post left Clark feeling sentimental, and she humorously chimed in, writing, “Crop me in next time, gang!”

Together, they achieved significant milestones, including three consecutive Big Ten titles and honoring Clark’s jersey by celebrating #22. Although graduation eventually separated them—with Marshall choosing to pursue further education and Martin being drafted by the Aces in the second round—their social media posts often reflect the enduring closeness of their friendship.
Reflecting on the draft night, Clark once shared, “After my name was called, I got swept off to do interviews. I didn’t even have my phone, and suddenly I heard, ‘Kate [Martin] just got picked.’ It hit me so hard that I wasn’t there to see it.” Moments like these underline the unbreakable connection among the Iowa stars, both on and off the court.
