The WNBA has grown stride by stride ever since its inception in 1996. The league has seen 4 different champions in as many years and the level of competition just seems to grow with every passing season. With the league becoming a hotbed for women’s basketball, the influx of talent has grown considerably in recent years. This influx has brought many young talents to the forefront with the Indiana Fever’s Aliyah Boston being a prime example of this case. Taken as the first overall pick of the 2023 WNBA draft Boston has taken the league by storm and is the favorite to win the ROTY award while becoming the first rookie to lead the league in field goal percentage.

This feat just goes to show how young talents are shaping the league with Aliyah crushing her high expectations with flying colors. While the former USC star had many cheering her on, Aliyah’s hype does not amount to much when compared to the upcoming class of 2023. The class features the likes of Stephen Curry’s godsister Cameron Brink and archrivals Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark leaving many fans hyped about the next wave of WNBA draft prospects.
