One of the most surprising announcements that came back in April was Aces’ Kelsey Plum divorcing Giants’ Darren Waller. She moved on from her rocky relationship through basketball, trying to chase a three-peat. While Waller remained silent. Now, seems like the former NFL star is also trying to do the same. However, all in his own way.
Recently, Darren Waller announced the release of his new rap song which gives an insight into his decision to retire. He shared more about how his past relationships have become catalysts for his rapping career. He expressed his views on an upcoming song named ‘Choose Wisely/ Farewell’, “It’s just a real honest record. It’s an idea that came to me back in early February. I was like, I feel like the same patterns keep happening in my relationships. So, I had the idea if the opposite end, like the women that I’ve been with, because there been so many, what would they write to me if they had the pen,” said Waller, via TMZSports.
According to the former footballer, the first half is about his success, fame, pressure, and attention over the course of his eight-year career. He said, “It’s me being open and honest about how I felt about that. How I’ve tried to cope with, dealing with that. There’s good things that come with it but it’s also like…sometimes, I’d like to just blend in. Sometimes, I’d like to just be who I am.”

How is Kelsey Plum moving on?
Back in April this year, the Las Vegas guard and 2x WNBA champion had ‘cleaned’ her social platforms by removing any photos with Waller. Kelsey Plum also shared the news of her separation through a textual post, promising to someday tell her story. In the post, she seems to have indirectly blamed Waller for their condition.
Since then, she has joined hands with big brands like Target and Skims to keep herself financially afloat. Kelsey Plum is leading her Under Armour partnership quite flawlessly as well. Not to mention, she is currently the second-highest scorer with an average of 18.7 ppg on the Aces roster which is trying to grab its third consecutive World Champions ring. Adding a cherry to the cake is her presence on the Team USA roster for 3×3 and 5×5 basketball events for the Paris Olympics.
