It is no news that Caitlin Clark has her fair share of haters, courtesy of her ever-growing popularity. That list doesn’t only include online trollers but has some eminent personalities as well. After receiving flak from some WNBA veterans such as Diana Taurasi, Clark got some unwanted attention from the NFL world. Former Pittsburgh Steelers WB Antonio Brown is under a lot of fire from not just Clark’s fans but the general sporting world as well over his lewd comments on the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer. While Clark instantly blocked him on X, a former WWE ring announcer completely obliterated Brown on a podcast.
The 34-minute episode of OutKick The Morning hosted by Charly Arnolt was all about Caitlin Clark. This included a segment where she expressed her blatant condemnation of Brown’s latest antics. She said, “He had nothing better to do than to put out an extremely rude tweet about her.” The 36-year-old didn’t see it fitting to show what exactly Brown wrote about Clark and stated it “strange and inappropriate.”
As it turns out, the former wide receiver put out a series of tweets directed towards the 6 ft guard. All of this started from his “Caitlin Clark looks like she keeps it hairy” tweet yesterday. Following this, he kept justifying his actions by uploading more insulting posts. Consequently, this compelled Clark to block him on the social media platform.

Moreover, Clark also issued a statement soon after. She said, “I’ve had enough of the constant abuse from Antonio Brown. It’s time to put an end to this behavior and take a stand against online harassment.” Anyhow, this is not the first instance that Brown has been a social bully to Clark.
The ugly history of Antonio Brown targeting Caitlin Clark
As soon as Clark broke Kelsey Plum’s all-time women’s scoring record, Brown had an unusual choice of words while trying to congratulate Clark. He tweeted that she looked like Mel Gibson. This was followed by another post when Clark became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer surpassing Pete Maravich. During that time as well, Mel Gibson was used by Brown to convey his message to the former Iowa No.22. Many thought that it was a weird congratulatory gesture when he posted another picture of the two-time Academy Award winner with Clark’s name on it.
The controversy doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Now that Caitlin Clark has refrained from extending any more reactions, it is expected that she’ll be focussing on her upcoming challenges. And why wouldn’t she? She has made women’s basketball must-see TV.
