The Las Vegas Aces head to the WNBA Finals
The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Dallas Wings 64-61 in a game-3 to advance to the WNBA finals for the third time in four years. A’ja Wilson’s outstanding performance greatly influenced their victory, which included 13 points and 13 rebounds as well as a vital late lay-up.
Both teams were vying to advance to the Final series, making it a fiercely competitive game. For the first time since 2016, the Dallas Wings, powered by Arike Ogunbowale’s 18 points, had a promising 61-53 lead with little under five minutes left in the game. However, the Aces staged an incredible comeback, with A’ja Wilson leading the attack.
With 2:56 remaining, A’ja Wilson sank an important free throw, and Alysha Clark snagged the offensive rebound following a missed second free shot. With 2:44 remaining, Chelsea Gray then set up Wilson for the game-tying basket. Later, Clark made a free throw to give the Aces the lead.

From their offensive side, the Aces had contributions from Chelsea Gray (15 points) and balanced scoring from Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum (11 points apiece). Teaira McCowan recorded a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Natasha Howard led the Wings with 14 points.
With another tremendous performance in Game 3, the Aces have established themselves as the playoffs’ best defensive team. To put this into perspective, the Aces had the top defensive rating in the league during the regular season with a 97.7, beating out the Liberty’s best opponent field goal percentage of 42.4%.
