The WNBA star Candace Parker is reportedly planning to return to the league next season provided her health supports her decision delighting all and sundry at the moment. The 3x WNBA Champion was nicknamed “Ace” for her exceptional gameplay and hence basketball fans are anticipating her comeback to see her in full-fledged action.
The 37-year-old is most probably at the fag end of her career and last played against the Dallas Wings in July when her team fell short by a margin of 2 points, while the Dallas won the game 80-78.

Parker’s season-high of 15 points came against the Connecticut Suns, the New York Liberty, and the Indiana Fever. Despite her injury, Parker played for an average of 23.6 minutes through her 18 appearances in the season. She was applauded by all for her show-stealing performances and loyalty to the sport irrespective of going through a hard time.

Parker was playing with a fractured foot all season and had to be out for an indefinite period of time after surgery. Parker averaged a decent 9 points with 5.4 rebounds per contest and 3.7 assists per game. Her total dedication to the Las Vegas Aces did prove useful to them as they clinched their back-to-back championship titles by defeating the New York Liberty 3-1 in the Championship Finale.
Parker had indicated in an interview with “Good Morning America” that she was considering retirement and wouldn’t want to ply her trade in pain. Undergoing her left foot surgery, Parker was promoting a new documentary on her life when she shared her mind regarding her retirement. Her fans had since then crossed their fingers in the hope of seeing the 2x WNBA MVP cast her spell on the hardwood once more.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces emerged triumphant in both the Commissioner’s Cup and the WNBA Championship. They did miss Parker but their captain A’ja Wilson and star Chelsea Gray stepped up to guide the team to victory.
While Wilson also took home the Finals MVP, it was an injury-laced season since Gray also couldn’t play during the fourth match against the Liberty due to a foot injury. Wilson averaged the team’s highest in both points and rebounds, whereas Gray was the team’s best scorer in both assists and steals.

Parker’s contract with the Aces was for a singular year and it remains to be seen if she will continue to play for the Aces.
