Who Is Kelsey Plum’s Boyfriend Now? Know All About LV Aces Star’s Dating Life After Darren Waller Divorce

“We were in San Diego, and we went to Torrey Pines [State Natural Preserve Park] and there’s this hike to where the beach is. We went up on this rock where it’s out on the water and I had a photographer there. That’s what I had planned for it,” Darren Waller revealed about his romantic engagement setting with the Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum. Though it melted their admirers’ hearts at that time, the couple walked their separate paths just a year into the marriage. Since then, there have been many developments for the Aces star Kelsey Plum that her fans know of. Except who she is dating.

Since the time Plum has divorced Waller, she has been quiet about her personal life. Although she posts photo dumps with her teammates, celebrating their wins, or sometimes driving fans crazy with her fashion sense. Nonetheless, she doesn’t look to shed much light on her love life. If there are two words that aptly describe her personal life they’re “Silence and solitude,” a caption she wrote on one of her pictures on Instagram while enjoying her me-time during a vacation. Hence, it is not known who she is dating right now, and fans opine that it is due to her tough heartbreak in her marriage.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way,” Plum posted this year in March while relaxing during the off-season with a photo dump. While at that time, her fans did not understand the gravity of the quote, it was only after she revealed details about filing for a divorce that many realized that the California-born was hinting at having a tough time in her married life. And much like the privacy she has maintained after it, Plum was equally private when dating Waller.

Though Plum and Waller never confirmed their relationship during their early dating days, fans estimate that it could have started somewhere in 2021. During that time, the footballer was seen in attendance during the Las Vegas Aces games. Additionally, the two were also spotted spending time together in public from 2022 onwards. The sports fanatics also showed up together in wrestling clashes that only intensified their dating rumors.

Notably, in June 2022, Waller was one of the guests during a Title IX event 50th-year celebration that was organized by Plum’s WNBA team. Waller was known to be quite supportive of his partner’s professional pursuits. When the Aces captured their first WNBA title, he was present in the victory parade to record Plum’s winning speech. All this led to a fine wedding for the couple that marked a new chapter in their life.

Even when Plum was dating Waller, she did not come out to share her wedding date. The Las Vegas Raiders Head Coach Josh McDaniels mistakenly revealed the date and the venue for it during a press conference in March 2023. While initially, it did come as a surprise for many fans who recollected the duo’s moments together, the rumors condensed into reality when the two tied the knot just 3 days after it.

Later, Waller, during AP’s Pro Football podcast admitted that he too, like his better half, is more of a private person. Hence, decided to keep away from the public eye most of the time. “It was something I wanted to keep ultimately, completely private from the team,” Waller divulged. And fans were excited that the W star had found someone similar to her.

However, the made-for-each-other couple had to be in a long-distance relationship during their marriage. While Waller played for New York, Plum resided in Vegas. Many fans believe that this took a toll on their relationship. But early on in their marriage, Waller had revealed that both the partners are equally supportive of each other’s careers and “we make it work.” 

Meanwhile, Plum stated last year in December that she was excited to go to her husband during the holidays and reconnect with him. Nonetheless, the marriage couldn’t last long as only four months after it, the two mutually filed for divorce in Clark County, Nevada. What came as a surprise was that they had celebrated their anniversary just a month before this. Looks like long-distance did strain the connection.

After going their separate ways, Plum was “devastated” as per her Instagram stories. She thanked her family and friends and also remembered the Almighty who had given her “an incredible life.” However, she did express her regret and reminded everyone of her dedication by enumerating that she “walked through fire for that man.” Similarly, Waller also revealed his side of the story through his hobby.

Also popular for his music, Waller released a song after their divorce titled “Who Knew (Her Perspective).” Many fans speculate that the heartbreaking song is about his relationship with Plum and how that suffered over time. The lyrical talks about healing from a bad relationship. Additionally, the 32-year-old also shared that he has “struggled with intimacy in romantic relationships.” He accepted that he had been seeking relationships in order to avoid the gray areas of his life and that takes a toll on his lovers. Hopefully, he will heal soon.

While many details are not known about her current partner or whether she has one now, fans would be hoping that much like Waller, their W star too heals from the heartbreak. And hopefully, finds the love of her life soon. Until then, we know she is just as dominant on the floor as she was before, ensuring that her relationship status does not matter in terms of basketball.
