Two of the unapologetic athletes of their era, Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, will join forces for a prestigious franchise. Both of them will look to make their mark when Chicago locks horns with the Lynx on May 5th. However, the Sky will also be relying on the services of one more forward, who also happens to be a round 1 Pick.

The 8-year veteran is Isabelle Harrison. After being a part of three franchises earlier, the WNBA ‘fashion icon’ will have a chance to exhibit her skills playing side by side with two college greats.

Daughter of former NFL Defensive End Dennis Harrison Jr, Isabelle was a no.12 pick overall in the 2015 WNBA draft. As it turned out, she was a part of the Phoenix Mercury roster in her initial days. Unfortunately, a quiet season with them reflected quite extensively, with a scoring average of just 3.1 points per game. Subsequently, she made a move as an exchange option for Danielle Robinson in 2017 to the San Antonio Stars, who later came to be known as the Las Vegas Aces.

Here, the 6 ft 3 in elevated her game to some extent courtesy of the increased time she was provided on the court. Harrison contributed with 11.4 points along with 6.4 rebounds in each contest. In addition to this, she also ended up being the second-best scorer in the team while leaving everyone behind in rebounds and blocked shots.

Unfortunately, a medical issue forced her out of action for the Aces in 2018. Nonetheless, she realized her true potential as soon as she entered the Dallas Wings locker room. After two successful seasons, she was given another chance in 2021, which eventually turned out to be her best season of all

Harrison’s breakthrough campaign with the Dallas Wings

In 2021, the former Tennessee prodigy turned the tides in her favor. Not only was she able to record a double-figure average in points, but her defensive skills also saw an escalation, which benefited her overall game. Consequently, in a game against her current team, Chicago, Harrison became the third player in WNBA history to have 20+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 4+ steals coming off the bench. Also, against the formidable New York Liberty, she tied her career-high 23 points and seven boards. As a result, Isabelle ended her season with the seventh-best shooting percentage of 45.6%.
