Their romance began in 2017 when their paths crossed while they were both deeply invested in their basketball careers. Despite the busy schedules of being professional athletes, their relationship blossomed over time. It is true that their mutual love for the game tied them together. But what makes it beautiful is the way they’ve managed to find time for each other amidst the high demands of their careers.

The couple dated for a few years before they decided to take the leap and get married in November 2021. This marked a huge change not only to their relationship but also to their careers. She told ESPN, “Where we’re playing, he doesn’t see a woman or his girlfriend or his wife. He has always seen me as a competitor…It ultimately made me have that confidence in myself.” Well, this comes from the fact that Jordan is a professional athlete himself. He understands the sacrifices.

Living in Brooklyn in a cozy two-bedroom apartment, the two often enjoy downtime together, indulging in casual activities like shopping sprees or trying out new restaurants in New York City. Their favorite one has to be Nenes Taqueria, where they unwind away from the pressures of basketball.  

The couple’s most cherished hobby is going on TikTok-inspired restaurant hunts. Most of the time, Jordan plays overseas in various international leagues, but he makes sure to keep connected with Betnijah, whether it’s through video calls or attending her games when possible. The Liberty shooting guard used to live in Japan during the off-season while her better half played in the Japanese B League. Jordan Hamilton’s rise with wife by his side

Jordan Hamilton’s basketball journey started in high school, where he was the top-ranked player in the country. He took his talents to the University of Texas, where he further developed his skills. It wasn’t long before the NBA came calling.

His wife started her professional journey in 2015, but Hamilton transitioned to the NBA in 2011. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 26th overall pick. But his rights were quickly traded to the Denver Nuggets. Since then, he has played for multiple NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, and New Orleans Pelicans.

With time, he took his talents overseas, including stops in Japan, Turkey, and Israel. For the time being, he plays for Taipei Fubon Braves in Taiwan, where he continues to prove his skills. Regardless of living miles, the time difference, and rigorous schedules, the duo are each other’s biggest fans.
