Lexie Brown has pointed out the absence of guards on both the WNBA and NCAA All-Star teams in a hilarious way. Being the guard herself, Brown couldn’t hold back from noticing the partiality, despite the fact that the guards had done a wonderful job this year. The Los Angeles Sparks guard had to leave the season midway through due to her non-Covid illness, but she’s never sidelined from basketball.

Brown lately expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition for guards as the WNBA failed to produce Stephen Curry-like talent in all-team selections.

On its Twitter handle, the NCAA March Madness disclosed that Caitlin Clark from Iowa has been unanimously chosen as a part of the Associated Press preseason women’s basketball All-America team for the second year in a row, known as the “AP Preseason All-American Team”. In addition to Angel Reese of LSU, Elizabeth Kitley of Virginia Tech and Cameron Brink of Stanford were also chosen for the team.

But none of the guards have been selected, which is a hard fact. The same thing happened with the WNBA’s all-season team. And Lexie Brown hilariously wrote on her Twitter account, referring to the guard snub from women’s basketball. She wrote, “So everyone got beef with guards, I see,” by reposting the March Madness post.

The WNBA’s All-Team doesn’t include any guards, similar to the NCAA. The All-WNBA team of 2023 features three infamous MVP contenders who were unanimously selected for their exceptional performances.

Breanna Stewart and Alyssa Thomas finished first and second, respectively, owing to their time spent on the court. The Finals MVP, A’ja Wilson, came in third in terms of completion. The three MVPs, each with 300 points, are joined on the 2023 All-WNBA First Team by Napheesa Collier.
