The Las Vegas Aces star Alysha Clark?s world came to a standstill when her father passed away in 2022. Behind her tremendous performance and years of hard work stood a supportive parent who gave his all to his daughter. A recent post regarding the same was shared on the Aces’ official Instagram handle.

Fans flocked in numbers to the post and reshared it among their friends and family and also consoled the star for her loss.

The Colorado-born opened up on the heartbreaking demise of her father on ‘The Players? Tribune’. An Instagram carousel for the same was shared by the Las Vegas Aces official handle on the social networking site on Wednesday. One of the pictures featured her father performing like a rockstar whereas in another Clark showed her father?s tattoo on her forearm. ?We did it, Pops. We really did it. Can you believe it? After all this shit ? We did it. Thank you for being my Sixth Man,? read the caption.?

For the unversed, Duane Clark belonged to Denver, Colorado, and was a music aficionado. He always encouraged his daughter in basketball, helping her reach spectacular heights with his motivation.

The 36-year-old had dedicated her third WNBA championship title to her father who had passed away in September 2022. As per The Thaiger, Alysha had tears in her eyes at a post-game press conference when she reminisced of her father. Her numbers too spilled the bean.

Clark was a significant contributor to the Aces? victory as she pocketed an average of 8.2 points with 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest during the 2023 postseason. About 38.6% of her shots were three-pointers and she became quite important as the Aces lost Candace Parker to a foot injury.

Clark also helped the Aces with some floor space and her defensive contributions were noted by all. With her brilliant performance, Clark was also voted as the 2023 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year.

How was the Aces performance?

The A?ja Wilson-led team created history as they went onto clinch back-to-back championship titles by decimating the New York Liberty with a decent margin of 3-1 in a best of five Championship contest.

The whole team was elated when the final buzzer rang as the Liberty missed the basket by a few centimeters and lost the fourth game by a margin of 69-70.

Though Clark has won three WNBA Championships, this one would be the most memorable as she performed her best despite losing her father.
