The New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart is on a roll. She recently made headlines when the WNBA 2024 season was announced. Her immense popularity was then evident once more after she appeared in ‘The Bird & Taurasi Show’ on Christmas Day along with ‘Ted Lasso’ star Jason Sudeikis. The two lit the stage together again, reuniting on the hardwood, that had all the fans swooning over the two veterans.

Sudeikis stepped on the hardwood to show his balling skills and fans couldn’t have been more excited to watch the brilliant actor alongside one of the best basketball players of the generation.

The duo practiced their shooting skills together and took shots from the top of the key, corner, and wings. In the video uploaded on YouTube, Stewart took three shots from the corner, basketing all in her first attempt. Then it was Sudeikis’s turn who took 5 shots and potted all. His fourth shot hit the rim but hooped back in within a few seconds. The two were then seen clapping hands as a gesture of sportsmanship.

The 29-year-old baller then took 10 shots back to back from the wing and hooped all. No surprise she is a star of the WNBA and has a remarkable 36.5% three-pointer percentage to her name. Additionally, Stewart has a noteworthy 47.2% field goal percentage and a remarkable 83.5% free throw percentage to her credit. Lasso actor then dropped one shot from the wing and three shots from the top of the key.

Stewart came back in her exemplary fashion and bucketed 4 shots from the top of the key. As per Clutch points, this friendly encounter happened at the Brickley Gym in New York City. However, it is not only Stewart who has proven her skills, Sudeikis did the same when won the Best Lead Actor and Best Comedy Series Emmy Awards for his humorous series Ted Lasso.

Meanwhile, Stewart had a brilliant season in the WNBA 2023 as she smashed an average of 23 points in the regular season. The New York-born also nabbed an average of 9.3 rebounds per game in the 40 matches she played in the regular season. The 2x WNBA MVP winner recorded a franchise high of 45 points against the Indiana Fever, repeating her 40-point heroics once again during her contest with the Phoenix Mercury.

She also let her demons loose during the battle against the Fever in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship when she besotted 42 points. It helped her team clinch the Commissioner’s Cup and also reach the Finals of the WNBA where they lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
