Basketball is a very competitive game. And sometimes in such competitiveness, the opponents have a harsh face-off against each other. One such nasty incident happened during the Game 4 of the Championship Finals between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty when in a bid to stop the former, a Liberty star dealt her opponents with a hard blow.

How did the Jonquel Jones block Kelsey Plum?

In a video posted by the official WNBA channel on the social networking platform X, the New York Liberty?s Centre Jonquel Jones performed a massive block against the Las Vegas Aces? point guard Kelsey Plum who was looking to score.

Jonquel Jones came from behind to block the ball. Looking at the clip, it is quite clear that Plum was facing the other side and did not expect to be interrupted in between her scoring chance.

Jonquel?s tackle seemed to be quite harsh as Plum lost the ball as well as fell on the ground. The incident happened during the 2nd quarter when both teams were looking to open their account. But how was the scoreboard?

The Aces tipped over the Liberty by only a single point as they pocketed 17 points and sealed the second quarter for themselves. As for Kelsey Plum, she contributed seven points with eight rebounds and five assists in a winning cause.

Whereas Jones too had an average outing as she basketed six points with eleven rebounds and a solitary assist. But how did the game go?

How did the Final go?

The Aces trumped the Liberty by a sole point as they went on to clinch their second Championship title in a row. With a scintillating 24 points and 16 rebounds, A?ja Wilson was named the Finals MVP.

The contest at Brooklyn center helped the Aces defeat the Liberty 3-1 in a best-of-five match. With her spectacular performance, Wilson became the first player in WNBA history to have over 20 points and 15 rebounds in a Finals win.

The Aces were considered the favorites but had their aspirations in doubt after injuries to their stars – Kiah Stokes and Chelsea Gray.
