WNBA star Alyssa Thomas opened up on her elbow grease during an interview with Deja Kelly on ?The 411 by Deja Kelly?. The clip of the same was posted on social media platform X on Monday which saw Thomas stressing the hard work and the tight schedule in the life of WNBA players.
?I don?t think people understand the grind that we actually go through. You see the NBA and the lifestyle that they live but I mean just my journey for?this year. I went from playing in the WNBA Finals to the next day being on a plane to play for Australia for the worlds to coming back?from that to going overseas and overseas back into Connecticut.
I don?t think people really understand how much we do and travelling, just to make money that the NBA is far more superior than that,?but we are working on it and we?re trying to advocate to push for more. For sure.?

Alyssa Thomas impressed everyone with her astounding performances during the Connecticut Sun Semi Finals against the New York Liberty. She was a saving grace for her team amassing a double-double and a triple-double. The 31-year-old bagged the Player of the Week award thrice along with being named the Player of the Month in June. Overall, during the semifinals, Thomas pocketed a whopping 58 points with 39 rebounds and 44 assists.
For her exemplary performance, Thomas was also in the race to bag the coveted MVP award. She amassed 23 votes for the first place, 12 for the second and 25 for the third. However, after accumulating 439 points, she fell short by 7 points to the MVP winner Breanna Stewart. But she was named in the WNBA All-Star team and also took home the WNBA rebounding champion award.
Meanwhile, the Connecticut Sun were the third-seeded team as they finished the regular season with 27-13 win-loss rate.
