With only a few seats remaining for the highly anticipated 3×3 basketball Unrivaled starting in January, the league still hasn’t secured the signature of reigning Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark. While they have tried different ways to attract her to the league, they recently made another move by signing a new rookie. Now, Napheesa Collier’s husband has even shared a message for the new addition.
Just yesterday, the Unrivaled league made a splash by announcing their 27th acquisition: Las Vegas Aces guard Kate Martin. With this signing, Martin joins fellow rookies Rickea Jackson and Angel Reese as the latest additions to the league. Martin couldn’t contain her enthusiasm, taking to X to share her excitement with fans, tweeting, “Pumped! Let’s goooooo!!! @Unrivaledwbb.”
While Martin was already bubbling with excitement, her enthusiasm was matched by Alex Bazzell, the husband of league co-founder Napheesa Collier. He joined the celebration by retweeting Martin’s post and adding his own two-word cheer: “Let’s goo! @kate_martin22.”

Earlier, Collier hinted that the league plans to bring in a couple of rookie players among the four remaining acquisitions. With Kate Martin officially on board, the Unrivaled might set their sights on Caitlin Clark once again. After all, Clark and Martin are best friends, having shared four years together at Iowa. Their recent trip back to their alma mater, where they reminisced about their college days, could just be the connection that helps bring Clark into the fold!
However, it would not be just as simple given what Clark had declared way back on her off-season plans and she had stuck to it despite Unrivaled’s consistent efforts to seal her signature.

Caitlin Clark reportedly received a contract enough to be described as a “Messi-like” deal. She would reportedly earn a base salary of $1 million, which will come with equity in the league, a lucrative bonus structure, and a share of the revenue from media rights. With TNT signing on with Unrivaled, Clark stands to rake in a significant amount of money, making this opportunity truly remarkable!
While Clark has an enticing offer on the table, it seems less likely she’ll accept it. When asked about her off-season plans, she playfully mentioned, “Maybe play some golf. That’s what I’m going to do until it becomes too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.” The Des Moines native is currently gearing up for a Pro-Am event set for November and is even on the lookout for a golf house in Indiana.
With all these commitments, her fans are starting to wonder if she’ll bypass the 3×3 basketball league, especially since she previously turned down Ice Cube’s invitation to join the Big3. As the Unrivaled league gears up for its January launch, all eyes remain on Caitlin Clark. Will her passion for basketball reignite, or will her golfing dreams take precedence? Only time will tell!
