When we speak of basketball diva and unapologetic attitude, then the first athlete that comes to our mind is Angel Reese. Reese has amassed herself a significant following by being fearless. While Reese is revered by the Chicago Sky fans, she is disliked by her arch-rival Indiana Fever’s admirers. And recently in the ongoing game between Indiana and Chicago at Gainbridge, the fans tried to give her a tough time. Nonetheless, Reese shut them with her brilliance in flamboyant style.

Reese was wearing the Reebok Joker shoes, and she showed a hint of that attitude in going against the masses of Fever’s home court. When she was booed, Reese gave a harsh response to her critics. The Sky were positioned at 34 while the Fever led by one point. The Fever’s NaLyssa Smith was called out by the referee for a shooting foul. This gave Reese the opportunity to have a free throw. Despite too much opposition from the crowd, Reese didn’t let her confidence waiver and scored that free throw. This leveled the score between Indiana and Chicago. She instantly blew a flying kiss to her haters and her fans were in awe of her play.

Reese had signed the multi-year endorsement deal with Reebok in October 2023 after her “Uncle” Shaquille O’Neal was made the President of Basketball Operations. She has since then been a part of revitalizing the brand. And since then Reebok has been a part of her identity. Recently, she had also worn the Chi-Town Barbie sneakers when Reebok designed one. And now she transitions to the role of a villain as she wears the Joker sneakers.

Reese is seen as a villain by many of Caitlin Clark’s fans particularly because she stood from her bench clapping when her teammate Chennedy Carter had shoved Clark in her previous game against the Fever. But that has not stopped Reese and instead, she has chosen to be a villain and displayed it with her attitude and also with her shoes. Meanwhile, fans had different reactions to her kiss.

Fans share their take on Angel Reese’s kiss

“Angel Reese blew a kiss to the booing crowd. 😂 #skytown,” one fan commented. The fan was enjoying the moment in which Reese came as the ultimate winner with her attitude and potted the ball. Indiana fans booing her only encouraged her to make a flawless free-pointer. The fan also had a gif of a reality show judge standing up and applauding Reese for her phenomenal performance in that moment.

“y’all just be hating on Angel Reese‼️,” another fan pointed out. The netizen highlighted that the Indiana crowd hated Reese firstly because she has been an arch-rival for Clark since the NCAA days and the two have a lot of history between them. Secondly, also because Reese trumped Clark in the latest New York Times rankings for WNBA rookies as the Maryland-born topped it. Reese with her skills doesn’t look to be as trivial a player to be booed on by the crowd.

“We need that clip of Angel Reese blowing a kiss to the crowd, DAWG,” another user was extremely happy to see Reese giving a harsh reply and was so overjoyed that they demanded a clip of Reese blowing a kiss. Certainly, that moment is for any Reese fan to look on and cherish it for the rest of the game irrespective of who wins.

“Just to lose 💀,” a user subtly pointed out that though Reese potted the shot, the match could go to either way. Especially since the Fever are leading with a 65-63 tally at the moment. Hence, the user was opposing Reese’s fans from getting too cheerful about her antics.

“Reese the rebounder. Already an elite rebounder is Angel Reese at #WNBA highest level. And then she blows a kiss to the Fever crowd to complete the And 1,” another user pointed to the fact that Reese is exceptional not only in potting the ball but also in her rebounds. She is the only WNBA rookie to average a double-double with 10 rebounds per match. And then she stunned the crowd with her free throw and also instead of hating chose to blow a sarcastic kiss.

Which ever way the match goes, Reese has certainly embraced her villain personality and has given her fans much to cheer about.
