Caitlin Clark earned major success as Iowa’s point guard, reaching the point when the spectators would start chewing their nails in suspense since she was always breaking records. And when she did, she also surpassed several milestones set by distinguished athletes including Pete Maravich, Kelsey Plum, Meghan Gustafson, and Stephen Curry. It was these feats that made the audience go berserk, filling the arena with echoing applause. Spreading the enchantment, Clark accomplished everything there was to attain in college.

Then she embarked on her journey to the W, which has been a downward one thus far. After losing two preseason games and three more during the regular season, Clark made a great debut against the Connecticut Sun, scoring 20 points and three assists. Clark’s fans expected her to be as impressive as she has been in the NCAA. Now, recalling the recent days, Clark gives insights on what went on with her.

When asked, “How’s it going?”, Caitlin Clark said, “It’s been fun. It’s been a whirlwind. I think everything has moved so fast um and obviously like I decided pretty early on that I was going to leave college. So, I feel like I was maybe the most prepared of the people that got drafted off, like my life’s going to change and, having closure with the season-ending but, then also like, we played until the last possible moment um of our season and then the fever had the first preseason WNBA game.”

“So, I think I maybe had the shortest turnaround time in the history of the WNBA but, um that’s what makes it fun and also like nothing better than just going out there and playing. That’s the best way to learn. Um, so I’ve been thankful for that and obviously we had our second preseason game already too. So, you know, the next time we take the court it’s going to be the real thing so it’ll be fun,” adds Clark, indicating that her upcoming matchup against Connecticut to be worthwhile.

Fever to host Connecticut for tomorrow’s game

Caitlin Clark is slowly catching up on what she can. Her performance on Saturday against New York was a reminder of her raw potential, which is yet to be unleashed in the league. Of course, she has had a brutal start in the W, however, her competitive nature and determined heart will figure out the way pretty soon. Meanwhile, she’ll have to keep up that confidence going into the game tomorrow.

On the other hand, her fans aren’t ready to give up just yet, as a result, expectations seem to be lining up at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Fever will be waiting for the Connecticut Sun. Looking for a potential comeback, Caitlin Clark and Co. must pose a strong defense.

Conclusively, they do need to catch up on their offense if they are for a 360-degree impact. Their 92-71 defeat from last week screams of disorientation. As a result, the Fever could use some work on their team chemistry big time. As for Clark, it’s only about time till she gets a hang of things, given her emphasis on the shortage of a proper breather in between her grand transition to the W.
