Does Caitlin Clark's Swiftie enthusiasm reveal a new trend of athletes embracing pop culture?

The 22-year-old, Indiana Fever standout, Caitlin Clark, is fully embracing her inner Swiftie as she enjoys the all new experience of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” in Indianapolis. Clark showed her dedication to the pop superstar by attending her live concert for two consecutive nights. Yes, she went to the second show too!

Clark shared her excitement on her official Instagram account, posting a story with the caption, “so back,” along with a photo of her arm adorned with friendship bracelets, proudly declaring, “I’m dedicated.” But what really stood out wasn’t just her Swiftie enthusiasm—it was her standing next to Travis Kelce.

Clark, who stands at 6’0” herself, looked noticeably shorter next to Kelce, who is 6’5”. Even with her impressive height for a WNBA player, Clark seemed small next to her towering concert buddy. However, Clark wasn’t alone with Swift’s boyfriend. The pop singer’s mom also made it to the same VIP box as the two star athletes.

It sure must have been a thrilling evening for Clark and not just as a fan of Taylor Swift

The Indiana Fever star has been a Kansas City Chiefs fan since she was a kid. “Good quarterback, great tight end. They are fun to watch. They make football exciting,” Clark had also admitted about the Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce duo on Monday Night Football with Peyton & Eli. She then went on to reveal how her whole family was a Chiefs fan and there was even a photo of young Clark in the team’s jersey that circulated last year.

So second consecutive night attending Swift’s concert, from a total of three shows scheduled in the city, might not have been any better for the 22-year-old. Previously, she had attended with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, and her Indiana Fever teammate, Lexie Hull. In fact, Clark even attended last summer, proving her status as a major Swift fan.

However, the same can’t be said for her boyfriend

For the November 1st show, Clark was joined by her beloved Connor McCaffery at the concert. While Clark seemed to be excited for the show, McCaffery’s presence may have been all the sweeter for the Indiana Fever star, considering he might not exactly be the biggest swiftie. Well, the conclusion is based on the comments exchanged between the couple once on their own posts.

On January 22, when the Iowa native turned 22 this year, McCaffery took it to his official Instagram account and posted a glimpse of some moments the two shared. As expected in such posts, he too penned down a heartfelt note for Indiana Fever standout. “Wish I was there to celebrate with you—you deserve the best day… Golden BDay/T Swift year will be the best yet,” he said.

While Clark was expected to react feeling emotional, it wasn’t the case. “Acting like you’re a T Swift fan tho is crazy, but I will let this slide hehe,” she had teased. Makes more sense now? Well, anyone to accompany her or not, Clark is making the most of her favorite artist’s concert. Even if it means forgetting the world outside for a while. Busy at eras tour thanks for tag tho,” she had to write as the Fever celebrated her top moments from the season on Instagram.
