The Indiana Fever made some big moves this off-season. After last season’s success and the immediate impact that Caitlin Clark made on the team, Kelly Krauskopf and Amber Cox took matters into their own hands. They moved pieces around and eventually landed stars like Natasha Howard, DeWanna Bonner, and Sophie Cunningham. It was a definite upgrade for the Fever during free agency as they attempt to win a championship this year.
However, betting odds show fans do not consider the fever to be a clear-cut winner. The New York Liberty has the highest odds of any team repeating and winning the championship, while the Las Vegas Aces and Minnesota Lynx rank above the Fever in odds of winning. Indiana stands at a respectable four, but their off-season efforts have been overpowered by winning experience.
Not only that, A’ja Wilson beats out Caitlin Clark to have the highest pre-season MVP odds! With the way that CC played last year, everyone was expecting an even better sophomore year from the former ROTY. However, Clark sits at a humble #2 in the eyes of betters, with the reigning MVP backed to win again.

These odds will definitely provide Caitlin Clark with motivation to succeed, as Wilson is pulling forward in every way imaginable. Even from a team perspective, the Aces are favored to win the championship over the Indiana Fever. Fans hope to see a career year from the Iowa alum, surpassing her ROTY efforts. The attention that CC gets has slowly started a shift from negative to positive, however, as an NFL legend makes his appreciation known.
Antonio Brown changes his tune about Caitlin Clark
In a shocking turn of events, retired NFL legend Antonio Brown made some surprising comments about the Indiana Fever star. Caitlin Clark, with all the hate that she had received during her rookie year, was subject to quite a few dubious comments from Brown as well. It got to the point of CC even blocking the NFL star!

However, after a clip of her playing quarterback went viral on social media, the former Steelers WR had only compliments for her. “CC can sling it too.” He commented under a post of Caitlin Clark hitting targets quite easily with a football.

The change in tune was shocking, but not unheard of. It took some time for Clark to earn the respect of league veterans and other high-profile athletes, as is the case with prospects that are built up too high. She had to prove her mettle, both on the court and off it.

Antonio Brown’s comments reflect the overall shift in opinion about CC. Her prowess on the basketball court is undeniable, with veterans and stars coming around to respect her. Caitlin Clark has the opportunity of a lifetime in this season. Odds are high for the Indiana Fever star to win MVP after coming short last year, but she will have to compete hard. What do you think? Can Caitlin Clark win MVP this year? Will Indiana Fever beat the odds to win a chip? Only time will tell.
