After a decent Olympics trip in Germany’s Jersey, Satou Sabally is back in action in the WNBA. And with her returning to the W after the Olympics break comes an offensive rampage. To commemorate her achievements, the Dallas Wings released a product that would be given to the first 4000 fans on Sunday when the Wings take the court against the Los Angeles Sparks. However, the said product featuring Sabally has reduced her to a laughing stock.
“That’s Lord Farquad wit a splash o melanin What we doin Wings?,” one fan commented. The user was referring to the bobblehead which does not seem to match Sabally’s face. The gift will be given to the first 4,000 fans who will be present at College Park Center on Sunday, which has a capacity of accommodating around 7,000 fans.
However, according to the social media user, instead of Sabally, the miniature looked to be Lord Farquaad, who is the antagonist in the Shrek series. Hence, something that was done to attract a lot of fans and garner attention toward Sabally has instead, according to netizens, worked just the opposite.

As for the clash against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Wings have played three games this season and lost two of them. Although Sabally wasn’t present in any of them due to her national duties with Germany and previously due to her shoulder injury, she is back on the court with her brilliant display. The 26-year-old averages a whopping 18 points with 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
Though the Wings have lost all their three games after the Olympics break, Sabally did provide joyful moments to the fans by hitting 20 points against the Connecticut Sun and 24 points against the New York Liberty. She topped that up with 8 and 5 rebounds respectively in those games. Therefore, the step taken by Wings was a good one but it didn’t execute well for Sabally who is receiving a lot of criticism for her bobblehead.
Fans make fun of Satou Sabally’s bobblehead
“Satou BotoxHead,” one user commented while subtly stating that the features of the bobblehead looked to have gotten a botox. Sabally’s head stands out distinctly in the product with swelling on the cheeks.

“That’s Alyssa Thomas with a different jersey,” another fan made comparisons of the bobblehead with Alyssa Thomas. As per the user, Thomas who plies her trade for the Connecticut Sun resembles the bobblehead except that it donned a Wings jersey.
“If satou were a terrifying gremlin. Wtf isssss that,” another netizen commented referring to Roald Dahl’s book character. As per the user, the bobblehead was quite funny and hence, would look apt as a toy for kids.
“is she gonna have time to make the next game while she’s also governing the city of Duloc?,” another user made references to Shrek. As per the fan, Sabally definitely resembled Lord Farquaad and hence need not be taken seriously.
“Satou is amazing, this, I’m not so sure,” a fan came forward to sympathize with Sabally subtly enumerating that she scored 18 points with 6.7 rebounds per game. But, the bobblehead didn’t look like Sabally at all.
