It is not every day that a talent like Caitlin Clark stands in front of you in person. Hence, when the Indiana Fever rookie attended the Indiana Pacers game on Saturday, many fans came up with weird autograph requests. One of them stood out from the rest as Aliyah Boston too was dumbfounded with it. Nevertheless, the standout duo is ready to break some legs and records together with the training camp starting. So, what is Boston’s take after the first training day about her partner?

While talking to the press after the first training day, Aliyah Boston could not help but bring up the ultrasound. While many fans thought that Caitlin Clark was pregnant, the 2023 Rookie of the Year had a different take. She commented on the incident, saying, “You see it, the energy, the eyes, everyone’s cheering for her. I mean, she signed an ultrasound. Did you guys see that on social media? An ultrasound! I mean congrats to the lady but, hey! That’s insane!”

Clark’s fellow Fever teammate was the first overall pick last year. Hence, with everyone expecting her to share perspectives on the pressure of the first pick with the NCAA’s leading scorer, she only had one response. “I feel like she knows the pressure that’s just placed on her naturally and her being a competitor. For me, it’s not about loading onto that but it’s all about making her comfortable. She has a different eye for this game.”

The 2022 NCAA champion also reflected on the first day of the training camp saying that she doesn’t think she can teach Clark anything and that her former coach Lisa Bluder has done a great job.

How has Aliyah Boston changed her view on Caitlin Clark as they “work together”?

The No. 7 center on Indiana’s lineup has viewed Caitlin Clark in many ways, whether it is as an opponent in college, as a broadcaster, and now, as a teammate. With all these perspectives now adding up, Boston has learned quite a few things about her partner.

She told the press, “I’m going to go back to how well she sees. You can hear her communicating. You can see the way that she can find you. Her passes are tremendous. So, as a post player, makes me want to run because I’m like ‘Okay I’ll get a touch, let me just get down there’. But she is a great teammate.”

Boston also has some concerns knowing that other teams are going to jump on her to get the ball. Nevertheless, the 6-ft-5 WNBA All-Star is confident in her team’s core values and how they play a united game.

It will be quite intriguing to see these two immaculate players, who even Dawn Staley shipped together as a pair, perform on the floor. The countdown is soon about to begin. The very first game for Clark with her new team will be against the 3x WNBA champions Dallas Wings on May 3, 2024. It is only a matter of a few days as we watch how the temperatures rise in the WNBA.
