Two amazing personalities have coincided in the 2024 Fever roster. The ‘life of any party‘, according to fellow Naismith awardee Cameron Brink, Caitlin Clark, and the ever-so-funny Erica Wheeler. While not many thought that their connection can be so entertaining both on and off the court, turns out it is. Giving their team and the fans yet another humorous moment, the vet and the rookie duo have again devised a laughable back-and-forth conversation.

On her last training camp day, Caitlin Clark was answering how the team had improved over the course of the week. Another question came from none other than ‘the elder sister’ of the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer– Erica Wheeler. She asked the No. 22 guard, “Erica Wheeler here with the Indiana Fever. How is training camp going? Are you ready for the next first game tomorrow?”

To this, the extrovert personality of Clark came out to respond. Laughing, she replied, “You think they haven’t asked that question? That was a weak question!” To this, Wheeler responded while leaving the court, “That was good!” While the rookie just said, “That was a horrible question!” And the vet left the area saying, “You want to troll, I’m not helping you.”

All the 2024 WNBA draftees have only been with their new franchises in the professional league for a couple of weeks. Hence, with the regular season right over the head, it is important to understand how the entire roster has been as a team. Sharing her views on her media availability, Clark said, “I think it’s honestly just building our chemistry. We’re still a young group, trying to put all the right pieces together.”

Caitlin Clark will be joining the starting five in Indiana’s next game against the Sun. While she was not happy with her home debut preseason game, scoring 12 points, she surely hopes to get better as the real deal begins in less than 24 hours. Talking about the chemistry, the Fever’s group seems to have that both on and off the court. However, just like Coach Sides mentioned in the early days of the training camp, the entire crew will have to learn to pick Clark’s passes and end the run on a positive note.
