Championships bring out the wildest celebrations, and Philadelphia knows how to party. With the Eagles securing their second Super Bowl win since their establishment in 1933, the city erupted in joy. But while Angel Reese, a devoted supporter of the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens, watched from afar, one of her former WNBA teammates was living every moment like she was on the field herself. And Reese? She had just one urgent request.
As the final whistle blew and Philadelphia claimed victory over Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs, Reese took to X with a message: “Somebody check on @kahleahcopper i know she acting bad rnnnn.”
The “somebody check on” wasn’t just a joke—it was a necessary call. Kahleah Copper, the 30-year-old WNBA star, a Philadelphia native, was on another level of excitement. A die-hard Eagles fan, Copper—who led the Chicago Sky to a 2021 championship and was named Finals MVP—wasn’t just celebrating. She was reporting every play like a sports journalist.

From early-game frustrations—“refs starting early man. Smh”—to calling out touchdowns and eventually posting a photo in an Eagles No. 12 jersey, Copper lived the Super Bowl like she was suited up herself. By the time the game ended, she had posted 16 times on X.
After all, the Eagles had avenged their Super Bowl defeat to the Chiefs from two years ago and denied the Mahomes-led team a historic hat-rick. Quarterback Jalen Hurts delivered an MVP performance, Eagles roared to 40-22 victory, Philly sparks flew over New Orleans, and Copper had one thing to say, “TAKE ME TO BROAD ST NEOWWWWW!!!!!”
The fans had got down to Broad St. in celebrations even before the game was won. Their 24-0 lead by half time, ensured to fuel that confidence. There were thousands and there were hoots, hoisted flag, and firecrackers— definitely a celebration the Philly native did not want to miss.
No wonder Reese sent that tweet—Copper was on another level. And if anyone did check on her, they’d still be watching.
Reese and Copper: From super bowl hype to dominating the court
Kahleah Copper’s Super Bowl excitement wasn’t just a fan moment—it reflected the same relentless energy she brings to the court. As Angel Reese jokingly called for someone to check on Copper after the Eagles’ win, it wasn’t hard to see why. The veteran guard plays with the same intensity she watches with—never backing down, never slowing down.

In her most recent game against Breanna Stewart’s Mist BC, Copper showcased her signature hustle, finishing with 21 points and nine rebounds in just 14 minutes that she had on the court. She was everywhere—attacking the glass, hitting tough shots, and setting the tone for her team. Whether she’s locked into a championship game from her couch or leading on the hardwood, the energy is the same.

Reese, too, demonstrated her relentless drive, contributing 12 points and 12 rebounds, including six offensive boards in her 11 minutes on the court. It was a classic Reese performance—relentless on the glass and bringing the physicality inside. While she may have called for a wellness check on Copper, the two share the same competitive DNA.
Together, they smothered Stewie’s Mist BC to just 63 points, limiting her to a mere 12. Copper’s squad ruled the boards, 43-30, a stat that mirrors her game—tough, physical, and unyielding. Much like her Eagles’ Super Bowl victory, Copper and Reese controlled the paint.

Post-game, the fun didn’t stop as the two exchanged playful jabs on X, blaming each other for stealing assists and rebounds. Whether it’s football or basketball, one thing is crystal clear—Kahleah Copper doesn’t just watch greatness; she plays like it.
