The basketball world has been short of consecutive victories since the 2000s, and the Las Vegas Aces filled the void with a stunning triumph on Wednesday night. Game 4 of Finals 5 became a showdown between A’ja Wilson’s Aces and Breanna Stewart’s Liberty. The Liberty’s performance was subpar, and even without key players like Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes, the Las Vegas team managed to put on a show and disguise their triumph.
According to observers, the Aces are developing a sports dynasty akin to the iconic NBA teams such as MJ’s Bulls, Curry’s Warriors, and LeBron’s Lakers. However, the Aces may be viewed as the WNBA equivalent of Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors, with identical championships under their belts.

The Golden State Warriors won back-to-back NBA titles in 2017 and 2018. The Warriors have reached the NBA Finals four times in a row and won three titles since 2015. Stephen Curry had a key role in the Warriors’ return to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The team won back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018 but was upset by the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
A similar feat was achieved by the Aces, as their victory is one of the title-clinching victories and a tremendous comeback in WNBA history. The Las Vegas Aces became the second WNBA club to win the title by a single point. In a post-game analysis on ESPN, Stephen A. Smith praised the Aces, comparing them to legendary Sheryl Swoopes and Cynthia Cooper’s teams.
He went on to declare, “I wouldn’t mind anybody saying this. This is a dynasty that has arrived.” He also admits to having profound feelings for A’ja Wilson since she was the only player who showed up on his team anytime when he was coaching the team.

The title-clinching victory of the Las Vegas Aces
It’s no surprise that A’ja Wilson was named Finals MVP after putting up a ridiculous 24 points and 16 rebounds. They accomplished these exploits despite the absence of key players Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes. The game was a nail-biter since neither team performed admirably.

Cayla George, who outscored MVP Breanna Stewart, was one of the most surprising players. Courtney Vandersloot secured the win with a critical buzzer-beating shot. This resulted in the Aces’ triumph. Without important players on the squad and following a devastating Game 3 loss, the Aces’ rebound is greatly appreciated.
