Caitlin Clark has set her record straight that she too can act. Coming from Iowa as an already established life of the party according to her USA team peer Cameron Brink, the sensational hooper is not leaving anything to chance. Even if it means teaching a few things about women’s basketball to the 3x Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling, seemingly, her outgoing personality took over her and she went ahead with the idea after a few minutes of meeting the celebrated actor at the NBC studio for SNL.

Talking about the entire experience, Caitlin Clark shares tidbits with AP Archive. About knowing if Gosling would be there, she said, “I first heard about it when I was at the Final Four, one of my people, my homie texted me and asked me if I like Chris Stapleton and Ryan Gosling. And I was like obviously I like them.” She also confessed that she had no clue about the script. The NCAA’s all-time leading scorer only got to read what she was going to say after she stepped into the studio.

Clark told the Associated Press, “Setting them straight about women’s sports was pretty phenomenal.” Although she agrees that she was quite nervous and her heart was outside her chest as the crew pushed her chair into the screen, she went with the flow.

Nevertheless, doing things that are not really up her alley just for the fun of it seems to be the 2x National POY’s life mantra. She also said it was definitely a bucket list item. At the end of the show, Iowa’s superstar also got to share the last shot with Ryan Gosling and other crew members of the SNL family. So, what did the Fever’s latest pick do at the NBC studios?

Setting another record, Clark became the first ever college basketball player to get the honors of appearing at SNL. She gave her humorous knack a little jab as she shared the stage with none other than Jost Colin and Michael Che. Indy’s rookie did quite a job as she took the perfect revenge on Che. Getting the last laugh, she made some jokes targeting the comedian for his rather sexist jokes.

At the end, she also gifted the co-host an apron, signed by her. This was her punch to Che’s face as he earlier commented that Iowa would retire the No. 22 jersey that Clark wore, which would later be exchanged with an apron. Whether you commend Clark for her acting skills or not, it is undeniable how aptly she avenges her name.
