The Seattle Storm are set to clash with the LA Sparks in their preseason opener. However, one of the things to watch out for the opponents is the $400,000 worth deadly combo of Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith. Both these free-agent acquisitions can be seen playing side by side and have the potential to wreak havoc against any franchise.
This is what Skylar Diggins-Smith reflected in her latest media day shoot alongside her best friend.
The duo recently had a very lovely outing together after a tiring training camp. The bond between them was clearly visible by the way they were feeling comfortable around each other. In addition to this, when asked by Ogwumike if she’d been smiling during the shoot, the 33-year-old responded, “I did smile. I can’t help but smile. I can’t believe it.”

Anyhow, Skylar Diggins-Smith quickly followed it up with a word of caution for rookies like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. While interacting with Nneka Ogwumike, she further added, “It’s like when you get your classes, and your best friend be in your class like ‘Oh My God.’ I can’t believe it. Bout to f*** ’em up. F*** ’em up.”

Diggins-Smith couldn’t hide her elation to be a part of the Seattle Storm locker room. She reflected on her jubilation a few days back as well by saying, “It was like the first day of school where you have a lot of anticipation for it to come. It’s kind of surreal getting reacquainted with the familiar faces in Jewell and Nneka and just seeing us all share the same jersey.”
Following this, they received a lot of positive reactions from their fans.
Fans can’t wait to see Ogwumike and Diggins-Smith duo play together
