Alysha Clark recently addressed the media ahead of the WNBA finals. A journalist asked her what it means for the WNBA players to have stars like LeBron and Anthony Davis show their support in a particular way by attending the WNBA Finals. The Aces No.7 was quick to respond to the question.

She said, “It’s dope.” According to her, supporting each other makes a deeper bond in terms of our sport just like in high school when there were girls’ tournaments and boys’ tournaments. Both the Lakers‘ power forwards were among the few superstars who attended the game between the Aces and the Liberty.

She further added, “They are not just showing their faces. They actually respect us players. They watch what we do, they respect us because they understand the sacrifices and investments we make in this game to be the best.”

She is clearly elated to see big NBA names in attendance during the WNBA Finals.

NBA’s all-time top scorer LeBron James wore women’s merchandise in the NBA ‘bubble play-offs.’ Additionally, in an episode of The Shop, The Golden State Warriors‘ talented player Draymond Green also criticized the pay gap between female and male athletes.

This is not the first time NBA superstars are backing up the women’s basketball athletes. Over the years, NBA superstars have played a vital hand in skyrocketing the WNBA promotions. It is great to see such fruitful bonds between the two most beloved basketball leagues in the country.
