“She’s Gonna Make You Listen”: A’ja Wilson Shares Hilarious Take on Shaquille O’Neal’s Reaction After Candace Parker’s Dismissal

Ever since Candace Parker joined the NBA on TNT panel, there have been many entertaining incidents between her and Shaquille O’Neal. More so, Shaq’s antics and Parker’s wittiness bring an organic twist to the show. Their banter is indeed a mix of playful teasing and true camaraderie as they are always yelling back and forth, creating memorable moments for their fans. The latest installment in their hilarious segments has now caught the eye of the Las Vegas Aces’ comedy queen A’ja Wilson, as her response has left the fans in splits.

In her recent Instagram story, Wilson shared some hilarious insights regarding Shaquille O’Neal’s response to not being present on Candace Parker’s all-time Starting 5 list. She shared a snippet of the video from the show with the caption, “When @candaceparker scrunch those eyebrows forward…she’s gonna make you listen,” indicating Shaq, who had covered one side of his face with a sheet of paper after the disclosure of Parker’s all-time starting 5 list, saying, “I’m hurt with my girl, Candace”.

Notably, her all-time starting 5 included Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Garnett, in response to one of the mailbags for NBA.com. However, one name that was absent from that list was of her co-host and 4x NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal.

Shaq’s question to Parker made this situation more intriguing, asking why she chose Garnett over him, basing that Garnett wasn’t a traditional center, but a power forward. She then responded, “Nowadays, we are playing positionless basketball.” However, this is not the first time the two have been engaged in a rather pinching and hilarious situation.

One of the many memorable moments from the NBA on TNT show is the time when Parker and Shaq engaged in a funny and competitive segment inspired by the iconic game show ‘Jeopardy!’ They were having a face-off in a scoring setup called – Connecting Clues.

By the time the last question of the round arrived, Shaq found himself trailing behind Parker, who had already earned 300 points. However, the last question came with a weight of 500 points, giving Shaq the perfect opportunity to slide past forward Parker’s score, which he did.

Notably, the final question was – Shaq’s middle name and Sherlock’s last name connecting to make the name of a Dallas Mavericks big man. As a result, Shaq gave the correct answer and won 500 points, clinching the victory over his peers. What happened next was hilarious as Shaq broke into a celebratory dance right there, relishing his victory.

This left Parker feeling miffed as she dramatically snapped Shaq’s nameplate in two halves. The Nameplate had written ‘Balcker than Berry’ on it, the pieces of which she threw sideways and walked talking to the crew, “Get out of here, every year y’all cheat. I am done playing games with y’all.” A perfect display of true legends pulling one on each other!
