A moment to savor for Indiana’s determined No.10 Lexie Hull. While the evening revolved around a record-breaking exhibition by Caitlin Clark, the 24-year-old sneaked in to deliver a career-defining performance. The presence of her family in attendance only made it all the more memorable. But that wouldn’t be all, as Hull’s mother has something special in store for her soon after.
Celebrations and commendations were in order after Lexie Hull became one of the catalysts leading the Fever to an impressive win over Seattle. While there were many who applauded her efforts, the one perhaps that mattered the most for the 6 ft 1 guard was that of her mother. Following the conclusion of the game, Jaime Hull shared a heartwarming tweet expressing her pride over her daughter’s accomplishments.“Welp, she proved me right. She has always had it in her. She’s not always going to have games like this, but she will never not give !! It’s just who she is!!!” the post reads.

Head Coach Christie Sides introduced Hull for the first time in the opening quarter itself with just 2:09 left on the clock. Following this, she spent a total of 21 minutes on the hardwood which proved enough eventually for a career-high 22 points shooting 8 of 10 from the field. In addition to this, she was 6 of 7 from the 3-point range, 4 of which came in the penultimate quarter.
Hull soon spared a thought or two on her magical experience at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In the post-game media address, she said, “To get a win in front of anyone is great. To win in front of my grandma, who came all the way from Spokane, and my sister who came from Austin, It’s amazing. And to have them courtside was super cool too. So really good, really good feeling tonight.”
Anyhow, her family and the 17,272 in attendance weren’t the only ones captivated by her scintillating show.
