“I am single.” That’s how Angel Reese cleared up the speculation about her love life during her podcast conversation with Latto and Mariah the Scientist. Despite the rumors linking her to NBA superstar Kevin Durant, the Chi-Town Barbie has been single since her breakup with Cam’Ron Fletcher in March. However, she might be ready to dip her toes back into the dating pool—especially with Uncle Shaquille O’Neal lending a hand to help her find her next romance.

Recently, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese welcomed Shaquille O’Neal to her podcast Unapologetically Angel, and things got interesting when the Lakers legend playfully asked if she had a boyfriend. Once again, Reese confirmed she’s single. But that’s when Shaq decided to dig deeper, asking about the qualities—especially looks—she’s after in a man. “So, do you like long hair or short hair?” Shaquille O’Neal asked, catching Angel Reese a bit off guard.

Unsure how to respond, she laughed and said, “What? I don’t really have a preference.” But Shaq wasn’t letting her off the hook that easily. He playfully advised her to figure out what she wanted, then took it upon himself to start sketching out what her ideal boyfriend might look like!

“Why not everybody should have a preference of what they they want I don’t have a preference in hair okay you like long hair short hair.  Why not everybody should have a preference of what they they want. I’ll pick for you long hair okay if it was long would he be able to braid it answer is yes,” elaborated Shaquille O’Neal on her podcast. As he continued to sketch out her perfect Ken, the Chi-Town Barbie looked both fascinated and amused, though a little puzzled by it all.

It’s still up in the air how much of Shaq’s “sketch” of her future partner Angel Reese will actually take to heart. But one thing’s for sure—the Chicago Sky forward has her own checklist when it comes to dating. In fact, she’s already shared a few of those must-haves in earlier episodes of her podcast.

Right before entering the WNBA draft, while still grinding for the LSU Tigers, Angel Reese surprised her fans on Instagram Live by announcing her breakup with Cam’Ron Fletcher. “Yeah, I’m single,” she shared confidently. Reese didn’t mince words about her decision, adding, “I do what’s best for me, that’s it. I’m the catch! Let’s not get it twisted.” The 22-year-old-forward wiped Fletcher from her Instagram, making it clear she was ready to move forward and embrace a new chapter in her life.

For over seven months, Angel Reese has been flying solo in the romance department. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what she’s looking for in her next partner. When hosting Latto and Mariah the Scientist on her podcast, Reese opened up about her ideal type. The Baltimore native revealed she’s into tall men, with 6’7″ or 6’8″ being her preferred height. And there’s a bonus—she’s eyeing an NBA player. “He’s got to be tall. So, 6’7”, 6’8. NBA,” Reese had said.

However, during her conversation with Shaq in latest podcast, Reese made it clear that she’s not actively searching for a man right now; her focus is on finding happiness in life. However, when Shaq probed deeper into what she envisions for her future partner, the No. 7 draft pick shared that she wants “a high-caliber man.” She went on to clarify what that means for her: he needs to be nice and genuine. But there’s one thing she’s definitely not looking for—she doesn’t want him to be a house husband.
