A’ja Wilson has been on cloud nine ever since Usher invited her. The WNBA Finals’ MVP recently had a delightful exchange with the popular rapper on X. A video response from him started a friendly conversation of A’ja with one of her locker-room buddies on social media. Following this, her teammate was caught on the hook as the Aces’ captain teased her for being uninvited to his show.

But the conversation never ended with that. The teammate responded to the friendly banter and took it to another level.

A’ja Wilson is getting all the limelight after the Aces’ epic win. There have been invitations coming and going. One of which was for Usher to join her and the team in their victory parade. Unfortunately, the rapper was unable to attend the same. As a result, he asked the five-time WNBA All-Star to come and watch him rock his performance at My Way Residency. However, it was not clear if he invited the entire team or just A’ja.

The news elated the team, but later it was cleared that only A’ja was invited. Apparently, Sidney Colson went on Twitter to show her disappointment. She tweeted, “A?ja hit us in the group chat talkin’ bout WE are invited to go see Usher, but now that I?m seeing the video?SHE was invited. Which is cool, that?s fine! But why lie to ur teammates?”?

In response, A’ja mocked Sydney by tweeting a GIF with the caption, “Lolololololololol Syd scores 2 points in Game 4 and thinks she can get Usher tickets awww.”

It must have been a hilarious moment of realization for the entire Aces team.

However, it was only fair since A’ja was the one to extend an invitation to the rapper. Clearly, Usher is too good at what he does and hence invites A’ja to his performance. He also apologized for missing their Las Vegas victory parade simultaneously. Nevertheless, as long as Usher’s die-hard-fan and the Finals MVP — A’ja Wilson — gets to meet him, all is forgiven.
