Is Sydney Colson's social media game a harmless joke or a distraction for the Las Vegas Aces?

The Las Vegas Aces are a funny bunch. But how far can this humor stretch? According to their leader A’ja Wilson, it is this off-court activity of the 2x back-to-back champions that is extremely annoying as well as scary for the 3x MVP for which she even came face to face with her teammate.

On Friday’s episode of the Roommates Show, the 28-year-old opened up on one habit that she finds incredibly disappointing, and how she has tackled it.

“Oh, my gosh! It’s you really can’t. You don’t have any advice, you just gotta ignore them. Like I mute Syd, and I still see her tweets… like that’s how scary it is. Like it’s… like she’s still on my…,” Wilson remarked when asked about the social media activities of her teammates.

“How does that work?,” Josh Hart asked. “So when you see like you need to click view for this…. this… this person’s tweet you’re like ‘ah?’ You… you don’t want to do it, but you’re like ah I might as well just click view?,” Jalen Brunson added.

“Right! It probably has something to either do with me or my team in a crazy way, and I’m like I have to look at this. And then it’s… and I’m like, oh, great! So yeah, I really don’t have any advice. But just kind of like let them do them ’cause it can get scary at times,” Wilson expressed naming Sydney Colson as the culprit.

Colson’s tweets have often been at the center stage of light-hearted controversies. When Wilson’s rumors of dating Bam Adebayo amplified, the veteran added fuel to the fire. The 35-year-old had shared a snap on X of the moment when the reigning league MVP was honored amid Adebayo’s ceremony of being presented the keys to the city of Miami.

In one of the viral videos, the mayor gave a special mention to Wilson “And she won gold in women’s basketball. I guess that has to do something with Bam and the Heat, huh? Being here today,” she stated during the event. That already fueled the rumors since both of them had won gold at the Olympics for Team USA.

Next, Colson too tweeted the same picture of the mayor with the caption “If I send you this, just know I’m finna tell on you.” This according to many was a warning to Wilson that her Aces teammate will soon reveal the official status of her relationship. And hence, Wilson has now opened up and called her tweets “scary,” most probably referring to this activity. Meanwhile, this wasn’t the first time that Colson caught Wilson’s notice due to her social media behavior.

A’ja Wilson tries her best to shut down Sydney Colson

When the New York Liberty were playing Game 5 of the Finals series against the Minnesota Lynx this year, the W Commissioner Cathy Engelbert could be seen wearing a black dress with the New York skyline printed over it. This did not go down well with fans who believed that the Commissioner was supporting the Liberty who had ended the Aces’ dream of bagging the three-peat this year.

However, Colson, probably in a way to taunt the Commissioner, posted a picture on X wearing the same dress after a few days. The light-hearted joke caught everyone’s attention after Liberty was accused of winning due to judge’s partial calls in critical moments.

To make Colson stop her hilarious display, Wilson came to the fore and tweeted “Syd Pls! 😩😂,” along with resharing her teammates’ tweet. But that hasn’t stopped Colson from showing a hilarious side to her personality as she can be seen tagging her teammates in various tweets and sharing updates incessantly like when she cracked a joke on Kiah Stokes for wearing tight leggings. And hence, maybe, if Wilson can’t stop her, the best way is to overlook her tweets by muting her.
