The upset caused by the Chicago Sky to the 2023 WNBA runner-up Liberty is buzzing all over social media. Not only has this phenomenal victory gained traction among the fans, but some eminent personalities are also rejoicing this thrilling evening. Among the well-known personalities in awe of Angel Reese and the Sky is Alyssa Michelle Stephens aka Big Latto. The American rapper recently expressed her delight after witnessing this enthralling Eastern Conference encounter. However, that wasn’t the only thing she was thrilled about.

Soon after the game, Chicago’s official X page shared a very eye-catching post captioned, “LIBERTY, BIBERTY, CEDRIC DIGGORY WE DON’T CARE ABOUT NONE OF THAT, OR YOUR LIL UNDEFEATED STREAK SKY WIN!”.

This caught the attention of the prominent artist as she wasted no time in sharing it as one of her Instagram stories. Tagging Reese, she asked, “Angel u running Sky Twitter?”

The franchise’s post was directed towards Liberty’s unbeaten streak in the tournament so far. In addition to this, the occasion also marked a huge upset as New York was 32-8 overall and 16-4 in the Eastern Conference. On the other hand, the visitors had an 18-22 overall while going 5-15 in the Eastern Conference.

After conquering the Liberty at their turf, Chicago will now welcome Connecticut at the Wintrust Arena.

Two formidable franchises will be locking horns Saturday night at the ‘Windy City’. Just like Chicago, the Suns are also coming off a victory courtesy of an 83-82 overtime thriller against Minnesota. The area of concern for Angel Reese and the rest will come on the offensive front as Connecticut is among the best defensive units in the league. They conceded an average of  79.0 points per game and committed 18.4 fouls the previous season. Further, they ended their campaign with a 14-6 record in the Eastern Conference and 27-13 overall.

Clearly, Angel Reese is making everyone’s money’s worth in the WNBA. Her exhibition is turning a lot of heads along with bringing the desired results for the franchise. Additionally, she has been instrumental in helping the team defy all odds with her gritty approach.

While it is too early to say anything, Chicago as a unit is turning out to be one of the most clinical squads this time around. So, despite ESPN favoring Connecticut by 55.7% to win the upcoming battle, many won’t mind betting on Chicago to sweep the floor on Saturday. We will have to wait and see what the future holds.
