Pulled Apart in Less Than 24 Hours After Honeymoon, Kelsey Plum Admits Husband Darren Waller?s Decision Was ?Brutal?

“Him ? 3.4.23,” Kelsey Plum wrote on Instagram to share she was married to Darren Waller. They got married in March this year, without ever publically confirming their relationship. Hence, it came as a surprise to many. But a surprise awaited the couple as well and it wasn’t pleasant.

Waller was traded barely 12 hours after they returned from their honeymoon. Kelsey Plum recently opened up about her husband’s trade to the Giants and called it “brutal”.

A harrowing tale of a “wild” trade

Kelsey Plum appeared on The Pat McAfee Show. The anchor posed an intriguing question about her husband’s move to the New York Giants shortly after their honeymoon. “I got that call like 12 hours after we landed back. So, it’s not how anybody would really want to start being married,” Plum stated.

Waller was transferred to the New York Giants for a point differential of $12 million as his basic pay.

?It is wild,? Plum said of learning about the trade. ?It?s brutal. It?s like ripping your heart out.? She also added that at the end of the day, they’re athletes and such things are common for them.

It was their faith that carried them throughout the period. ?God really just?it’s the only way we kind of got through it with our faith,? she continued. ?He?s a soldier. Darren is a soldier.”?

It’s a mystery how they began dating, but they were said to be in a relationship in early 2022.

The point guard has been in Sin City since her team relocated from San Antonio to Vegas in 2018. Her arrival corresponded with Waller’s relocation to Oakland.

The couple, who had been quiet about their relationship, married early this year and shared images on Instagram. Many WNBA and NFL players, including Candace Parker, have showered love on the couple.
