Alysha Clark recalls her emotional winning moment

Alysha Clark has been instrumental in the Aces’ overall success this season. After lifting the WNBA championship, the talented forward was invited to express herself at the popular podcast Come And Talk 2 Me. During the show, she was asked to explain about her crying pictures after the Aces’ win. Alysha replied, “One thing I’m gonna do is cry. It doesn’t matter. If I’m sad, I’m gonna cry, if it’s an amazing accomplishment I’m gonna cry. You’re gonna see a lot of pictures of me crying. It’s just like an overwhelming amount of emotions at once. There are so many thoughts going through your head.”?

The Aces didn’t have the best of starts to their journey. Multiple injuries, suspension of their head coach etc clouded everyone’s belief that the Aces could win the title again. Opening about all these things, Alysha added, “All the things that we went through this season. The ups-and-downs. Many people didn’t think we were going to be able to win.” In a post-game interview, Alysha dedicated her title win to her late father. She further added, “I lost my dad a year ago. This journey was our thing. I was like I wish I could have him here.”??

The 3x WNBA champion Alysha Clark proved to be a trump card for the Aces this season. Their season started with a controversial trade of Dearica Hamby to the Los Angeles Sparks. In addition to this, they suffered another setback when their star forward had to go through surgery to recover from a fractured foot. Furthermore, the Aces’ powerful guard Chelsea Gray and their center Kiah Stokes got injured in Game 3 of the Finals.
