Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever is all set to host the mid-season festivities of the All-Star break this year, and cannot be any more excited! The Iowa alum breathed life into the city last year, taking the team to their first post-season appearance in the last seven years. With CC planning on participating in the three-point contest, and a few great additions in free-agency for Indiana, the Hoosier state is bound to attract large crowds.
It is bigger than the game for the W, however. The league is growing at an enormous rate, and it looks like they are ready to give back to the communities that support it! The WNBA All-Star Hosting Committee announced over a million dollars in grants to four local nonprofits in Indiana.
These projects aim at uplifting and empowering the youth of the country, and are a great initiative from the WNBA. They have a lot of eyes on them, and they’re directing that attention to add good in the world.

Kelly Krauskopf and Amber Cox have been busy this off season, making aggressive moves for the Fever. This comes after Indiana was expected to ‘strike out’ in this year’s free-agency by many experts. However, Krauskopf understood that the team needed veteran presence and championship experience.

In a recent interview, Caitlin Clark opened up about her thoughts on the Fever’s free-agency moves. “I think Kelly [Krauskopf] and Amber [Cox] have done a really good job of finding pieces that fit,” she said. “It makes me excited about the future.”
The Indiana Fever star had nothing but praises for the team’s front-office. Clark appreciated the addition of Stephanie White and her coaching staff too. “With Steph [White] and her staff coming in here, my ability to workout with Keith [Porter] all off season has been really fun. I got to work out with DB [DeWanna Bonner].”

If the team chemistry pans out, there is no doubt that Indiana is a championship contender. Krauskopf has surrounded CC with a lot of players with winning experience and good locker room presence. What do you think? Can Caitlin Clark lead the Fever to a ring? Will the added veteran presence play a role in their success? Only time will tell.
