“Best end to summer [black heart emoji],” was the caption for the picture of Connor McCaffery and Caitlin Clark when she announced her relationship on social media in August 2023. The two were cozying up on a boat as summer came to an end. Since then, whenever fans refer to Clark’s love life, they cannot forget to mention McCaffery who has supported her throughout. However, if a certain expert is to be believed then a basketball bug bites the W’s ROTY and can leave her boyfriend if asked to choose between her personal and professional life.

Clark’s body language with McCaffery was analyzed by a body language pundit named Nicole Moore, who revealed that though the two are madly in love, Clark might ditch her boyfriend in favor of her sensational career. The same was mentioned in a video posted on Nicki Swift’s official YouTube handle in early July.

Clark and McCaffery since the declaration of their relationship have often come forward to support each other on social media. While the Butler Bulldog’s assistant coach wished Clark on her birthday in January this year, Clark reciprocated the feelings by congratulating him when he landed a job in the NCAA. The two had even exchanged funny comments on social media back in January when Clark questioned him if he was a true Swiftie. The two, thus, definitely seem to be giving major relationship vibes.

Plus, when McCaffery was with the Indiana Pacers as an assistant, the duo used to share the same Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena to practice together. This perhaps looks to be a major reason for the analyst to predict that Clark is all and all a basketball player first and then comes any other relationship in her life. And if we look at McCaffery’s recent outing, the same sentiment is amplified, at least that’s what the fans say.

While the couple shared the same facility previously, McCaffery, after taking up a job with the Bulldogs, will be practicing at the Hinkle Fieldhouse. The new place is at least 20-30 minutes away from Gainbridge. Hence, the two were expected to spend more time together during the off-season. But that wasn’t the case.

McCaffery with his group of boys recently attended a wedding. While it is not known if Clark was invited, the snaps posted online by the Iowa Hawkeyes freshman Austin Ash show the 26-year-old smiling hard with his friends, dressed in a white shirt and bow tie. And unfortunately, the Des Moines-born was nowhere to be found. This started off speculations if the two were truly in love and looking to get married in the future.

However, just a single incident cannot be taken at face value to deny their chemistry. Going by their social media posts, it is clear that they are madly in love. Hopefully, fans will get to see them tying the knot soon, and with it, quashing all critics’ doubts.
