Sports has a way of bringing people together, and basketball is definitely one such sport. Also, it has a way of healing. Especially the people sitting in the audience on Sundays, not worrying about who they are sitting next to. However, all these things got bogged down when Liz Cambage entered the equation.

Still questioning her career choice, 1 fight was all it took for the 6-foot-9 ex-WNBA player to walk out of the door forever.

The final hit that ended Liz Cambage’s career at the WNBA

After saying goodbye to the WNBA, Liz launched her OnlyFans?career in 2021. Initially scared to take the plunge on the platform, she is now earning $1.5 million a year.

Liz Cambage, having a hot-headed personality, everyone seems to be walking on eggshells around her. Cambage, all through her WNBA career, had been bouncing off from one team to another, as a result, she has never played for more than 1 consecutive season for a franchise.

The last game she ever played, was against the Aces (her former team).?Evidently, the Sparks lost the game with an 84-66 score. During the first half of the game, Liz was obsessively yelling at her teammates to pass the ball to her. Feeling disrespected by Liz’s behavior, her teammates passed the ball to her in the second half, even when the ball was not in play.

However, everything boiled down to Liz going to the locker room and changing her clothes. On her way out, she said – “I can’t do this anymore, good luck to you guys,”?and was never seen again.

Cambage’s WNBA journey

Drafted No. 2 overall by the Tulsa Shock, she was still doubting her career choice of playing in the WNBA in the first place. In 2012, playing with the Opals (her Australian Team) in the London Olympics, she announced not to come back to Tulsa for the remainder of that season.

Further, after sitting out of the league for almost 5 years, she returned to the WNBA in 2018. That season she made a record of scoring 53 points in a single game. Moreover, in 2019 January, Cambage requested out of the Dallas wings, and in May of the same year, she signed with the Las Vegas Aces.

Then came 2021, less than two weeks before the Tokyo Olympics, Cambage withdrew her name from the Opals, and in February 2022, she signed with Los Angeles Sparks. Further, in August 2022, she announced her stepping away from the WNBA, which was three weeks after she was released from her contract with the LA Sparks in July 2022.
